VUIL & GLASS
a collaboration with Conny Janssen Danst premiere: Sunday february 21, Rotterdamse Schouwburg, Rotterdam
8 cellists, dancers and the hypnotic, pulsating music by Philip Glass. These are the ingredients for the applauded collaboration between Cello Octet Amsterdam en Conny Janssen Danst called “Vuil en Glass”. Between February and May the audience gets the opportunity to see this once again, in a brand new choreography, after the enormous success in 2003. On sunday August 31, the Cello Octet brought a brand new programme to the Amsterdam Uitmarkt. Together with guitarist Marlon Titre, percussionist Yuchi Córdoba and double bass player Sven Schuster, they performed music that forms a bridge between Caribian, African and European music. Marlon Titre and Yuchi Córdoba have written new music for this project. Here you can watch a short clip of this try out concert.
